Transit-Oriented Workshop

The Greater Buffalo Niagara Regional Transportation Council held a workshop to refine station area plans for the transit-oriented development along the existing Metro Rail line in the City of Buffalo as well as the proposed Metro rail extension to the northtowns.

The workshop, the second of three, was held June 28, on the University at Buffalo South Campus. It addressed policies and procedures for improved community connections for existing and proposed Metro Rail stations.

Transit-oriented development is expected to generate $1.7 billion along the Metro rail corridor as the transit system expands.
