Good jobs

Metro Bus and Rail put transit careers on display in a series of open houses this Fall. Metro continues to look for bus operators, mechanics and technicians. Showing off its facilities and work environment - and the chance to tout paid training, full benefits and new wages – is proving to be a great way to attract new talent.

“We hear people say ‘Oh, I don’t think I could do that’ all the time,” said Amy C. Hughes, the NFTA’s manager of recruitment. “Then we train them the right way, help them get their commercial driver’s license and they are amazed at what they accomplish. It’s gratifying introducing people to a rewarding career serving the public.”

Metro is planning another open house soon, but anyone interested in a position with the authority can visit jobs.nfta.com anytime.
