One New Way to Jet Between Albany and Buffalo

OneJet Airlines will begin flying nonstop from Buffalo to Albany on February 1. Twice-daily flights will use new, 30-passenger ERJ135 jets with extra leg room. Lt. Gov. Kathy Hochul was on hand for the announcement, excited by a quicker way to travel between the state’s second busiest city and the capital. Assemblywoman Monica Wallace, D-Lancaster, and Assemblyman Robin L. Schimminger, D-Kenmore, agreed that this service was a boon for the people of Western New York, and the business community. Pittsburgh-based OneJet specializes in serving small and medium-sized airports. Tickets go on sale Jan. 9 for flights starting the following month. Buffalo departures are scheduled for 7 and 8:20 a.m., with return flights departing from Albany at 4:50 and 6:10 p.m.
