Starting June 16, the Genesee Street corridor gets a service upgrade for its Route 24 bus. Metro is offering new “L” limited stop service and new “X” express service to cut travel times, increase rider options and, most importantly, provide better access to jobs. There are employment opportunities in the corridor, at the Buffalo Niagara International Airport, and at the businesses that have grown up around the airport.

Route 24 improvements are a result of careful research and design from Metro’s Service Planning department. By measuring the changing needs of the community, planners have been able to tightly structure transit service, giving it the perfect fit. With bus service, the tailoring does more than look great, it works great too.
