Metro at Juneteenth

Metro participated in Buffalo's 44th Annual Juneteenth Festival, June 15-16, at Martin Luther King Jr. Park. This was the first community event using Metro's new community/training bus. The new bus was a big hit, with hundreds stopping by to talk with staff about Metro buses and the train. Many also filled out surveys, which help Metro keep on track.

Metro also had a trolley bus and paratransit van in the parade along with Metro employees marching alongside the vehicles. The festival included vendors, dancing, and stages featuring arts and cultural activities. Juneteenth is an extraordinary celebration of African American heritage, and the Metro team was proud to be a part of it.
