Community Shows Support for the NFTA

Due to the COVID-19 crisis, a variety of organizations in the Buffalo community have collaborated with the NFTA to express their appreciation for its essential and transit workers. From a local rapper providing free meals, to donations from Perks Coffee, the NFTA greatly appreciates these kind efforts.

The NFTA graciously accepted BlueCross BlueShield’s donation of healthy snacks to our front-line workers. Additionally, Perks Coffee Vice President Julie Leone donated coffee to Frontier Station for transit workers.

Local rapper Conway the Machine provided breakfast for NFTA’s frontline workers at each bus garage and rail yard. He made an additional visit to the Cold Spring Garage to show further appreciation for transit workers.

Through the help of former NFTA commissioners, Eunice Lewin and Ernestine Green, the NFTA worked alongside Fowlers Chocolates to thank front-line workers. This effort provided a sweet treat for transit workers to enjoy for their hard work during this time.
