There’s an app for that

Two new public transit apps have come to the Buffalo Niagara market, making Metro Bus and Rail easier to use than ever. Moovit, an Intel company, lets the user plan public transportation trips all over Western New York, or all over the world. Their app works with just about any kind of mobile device or web browser. The app is connected to Token Transit, so a rider can pay their fare with a click and without leaving the app. The Transit app also shows the best way to use Metro to get around the region. Available for the iPhone or Google-powered devices, the Transit app is integrated Token Transit for seamless use. A rider can plan and pay from one convenient screen.

Both mobility apps add to the choices already available at metro.nfta.com, providing riders with even more choices. Metro continues to offer Where’s My Bus, Stop ID Lookup, Smart Traveler, Google Transit and the Trip Planner. Each feature provides information on how use Metro, how Metro is functioning and how best to take advantage of bus and rail services.
