The NFTA Transit Authority Police Department held its annual Beards and Badges campaign to make the holidays brighter for a local family. This year all funds raised benefited a family of four in partnership with Mount Saint Mary's Neighborhood Health Center and the Buffalo Urban League.

Earlier this month, TAPD elves delivered toys, grocery cards, clothes, and home schooling chairs to the family. This was a great occasion filled with happiness, laughter, and even some tears. The good kind.

As TAPD Chief George Gast said, “This year has been very difficult for members of our community. We are extremely grateful to everyone who came together to make a big difference for this family for the holidays.”
