Congratulations to Metro Bus Operator Rob Oehler, honored this past month at the American Red Cross Western New York Real Heroes Event.

Rob was selected from a large pool of nominees for the Workplace Safety Award, presented to an employee whose actions exemplifies the very highest of this community’s standards. Last April, Oehler responded to a passenger experiencing a cardiac event on his bus, performing chest compressions until emergency medical personnel arrived. Oehler is credited with helping to save the passenger’s life.
