A celebration of Black History was held in the NFTA’s Metropolitan Transportation Center February 2 with performers from The African American Cultural Center. The event kicks off the Authority’s recognition of Black History, which begins in the month of February, but will continue throughout the year. Metro held an art contest, with the winning work slated for the side of a Metro bus. Staff is also hosting a winter clothing drive, because action is just as important as reflection.
