The NFTA partners with County Clerks to recruit more drivers

NFTA-Metro, the Erie County Clerk’s Office, Niagara County Clerk, and Genesee Valley BOCES are teaming up to offer a free commercial driver’s license prep course to help applicants start their career with the transportation authority.

Instructors from Genesee Valley BOCES will be providing a two-day training for CDL prep on Wednesday, March 9 and Thursday, March 10, from 5-8 p.m., at the Buffalo Niagara International Airport Fire Department, 120 Amherst Villa Road, Cheektowaga.

The Erie County Clerk and the Niagara County Clerk will open their doors on March 12 allowing applicants to take the CDL B Permit test courtesy of NFTA-Metro. When the candidate passes the three portions of the test, representatives from NFTA-Metro will be on-hand to inform job seekers about career opportunities.
