NFTA-Metro and the WNY Urban Arts Collective were thrilled to show off the winner of the Authority’s Black History Month art contest. Local artist Monet Kifner’s “Black Excellence: Told By the Graces” highlights accomplishments met and exceeded through adversity and hardships. The piece now graces two Metro buses and the NFTA’s corporate headquarters in downtown Buffalo.

Kifner said, “I chose to focus on a plethora of what I see to be Black excellence today, to explore this theme I wanted to use the Three Graces from Greek mythology. The Graces, represent Creativity, Good Will and Beauty.”

The artwork will be seen by thousands over the course of the next several months.
