Canada Drops Cross Boarder Vaccine Mandate

As of October 1st, people entering Canada no longer need to prove vaccination. The US-Canadian border will return to pre-pandemic status, making travel between the countries quicker and easier.

The Buffalo and Niagara Falls International Airports expect a slight uptick from Canadians that have either not been vaccinated or have been reluctant to travel across the border since the start of the pandemic. But the main benefit to the new policy is a free flow of traffic between the US and Canadian, rebuilding the bi-national Niagara Region. Everyone benefits from the economic activity associated with Canadian passengers flying from the US side of the border. Western New York benefits from increased economic activity and Canadian passengers save money on airfares and time related to customs and immigration processing.
