NFTA-METRO and Amazon, working together

Connecting people with jobs. It’s one of the NFTA’s core missions, and it is exemplified by new bus service to Amazon in Lancaster. This partnership, requested by many in our community through feedback both companies received, provides service to the facility from Thruway Mall on the 46 Lancaster route. Passengers can transfer from the 4 Broadway, 6 Sycamore, 22 Porter-Best, and 26 Delavan at the Thruway Mall transfer center. Service is provided seven days a week. On weekdays, there are six trips serving the facility, with five trips serving the facility on the weekends.

"Limited transportation is a significant hurdle for both businesses trying to attract workers and for individuals of limited means who want to work hard to provide for their families", said Assembly Member Monica Wallace. "That’s why I’m glad to see Amazon and NFTA working together to find solutions that meet the needs of the employees and the employer. This partnership will help folks without private cars get to work and will help Amazon incentivize the workforce it needs to run its business."
