NFTA-Metro’s Transit Development Plan outlines key projects and initiatives for short, medium, and long term. Projects vary in scope, but all are aimed at improving public transportation in Buffalo-Niagara. For example, the Shelter Expansion project has already added 30 new bus shelters to the community; more shelters are on the way. The DL&W Station is under construction, with completion projected within the next two years. The Bailey Avenue plan will bring the first Bus Rapid Transit route to our region.
