The Authority partnered with FeedMore WNY this December to help gather food for those in need. The COVID-19 health crisis has greatly increased food insecurity across Western New York. As many as one in six people in FeedMore WNY’s four-county service area struggle with hunger due to the pandemic.

The NFTA set up collection sites across its properties and in the time between Thanksgiving and Christmas took in nearly 500 pounds of nonperishable food, along with substantial cash donations.
